Position Overview:
Bittersweet Encounters is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Clinical Therapist to provide behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families.
The therapist may provide services through managed care plans, Children and Family Services (CFS), county-funded programs, community partnerships, and other BSE programs. Services may include individual, family, and group therapy based on client needs, referral authorization, and applicable program requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy within the clinician’s scope of practice.
- Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge documentation, and other required clinical records.
- Provide services in accordance with applicable payer, county, referral-source, contractual, and BSE program requirements.
- Deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-informed interventions.
- Facilitate therapeutic, psychoeducational, support, or skills-based groups as assigned.
- Maintain required caseload, service, and productivity expectations for assigned programs.
- Monitor client progress and update treatment goals as clinically appropriate and required by the program.
- Collaborate with authorized caregivers, social workers, case managers, healthcare providers, and other members of the care team.
- Complete documentation accurately and within required BSE, payer, county, and program timelines.
- Participate in clinical supervision, case consultation, staff meetings, program meetings, trainings, and quality-assurance activities.
- Respond appropriately to clinical risk, crises, and mandated-reporting responsibilities.
- Maintain HIPAA, confidentiality, ethical, professional, and program compliance standards.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Active California registration or licensure in good standing as an AMFT, ACSW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment-planning, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to meet documentation and service requirements established by BSE and assigned programs.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families preferred.
- Experience with child welfare, managed care, trauma-informed services, and/or group facilitation preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.

Additional Requirements:
Employment and program assignment may require completion of background screening, mandated reporter training, HIPAA/privacy training, credentialing, and other trainings or requirements established by BSE, managed care plans, county contracts, or applicable referral programs.
